Why choose Merelle?

Apart from the beautiful artwork available with us there are many other benefits in choosing Merelle gallery and studio to feed your love of original art or commission needs.

• Our aim is to strengthen the art community within our local area and provide a strong platform for our artists.

• As an online gallery selling directly from the artists studio, without expensive overheads such as rent, our prices reflect a much truer valuation of our art than other galleries would, some charging 30%, 50%, 100% mark ups on top of the artists original price. By keeping our admin fees much lower and so the price of our art low, we are making it more affordable to a wider range of people and therefore increasing general interest in original Arts and Crafts.

• We strive to get real art into homes and workplaces and so our concentration is on selling originals, rarely prints. If a print is required however it might be possible to have it made to order, with your sizing spec. We make one print at a time as oppose to having runs of 100 or 250 printed and marketed as this keeps our original art far more unique.

• When you commission work with us you are never more than a phone call or email away from the artist and can comfortably discuss in detail how you envisage the piece, gain advice on deciding what's right for you and the space you wish it to fill, and check it's progress.

• Also, you can commission a piece inspired or of a similar theme to one shown by the same artist in the gallery. By doing this you can specify if you would prefer a different size or colour and we will do our best to make this available.
