Commissioning a Portrait... What
better way to save those precious memories than with a portrait to
treasure forever (see
portrait examples).
Commissioning a
Portrait
is simple. Just get in touch
by phone or email and follow these simple steps.
-
Choose and send (via post or email)
one to three pictures of the subject whose portrait you wish to
commission. We can
then discuss which to use based on picture quality etc.
-
Think about what size and medium
you would like it to be.
Pencil, pastel, or
Acrylic. See price guide
page.
-
Think about any changes you want made
from the photograph.
You may decide to change
the background location, colours, clothes etc. For help choosing
the right tones see
colour guide page.
-
We then ask for a 40% deposit
before we start on the project.
Once this is paid we will
begin work on the piece - starting with producing a very basic
template to show you the composition of the subject placed on
it's canvas. We will email this to you for approval before we
put paint to canvas and continue to update you through the
process.
-
The final 60% will be required
after we send you a picture of the completed portrait and get
your approval.
Commissioning a
Non-Portrait...
If you are in the process of furnishing a home or place of business,
what better way to complete the look you're after than commissioning
artwork to your own specification. Our artist is ready to discuss
all your commissioning ideas, however developed or undeveloped they
are. We are also at hand with general advice and can even visit the
space in which your art is to be hung (within the Shropshire /
midlands area).
