Merelle is always interested in expanding it's online Gallery. We would
love to hear from other Shropshire/Midlands based artists interested
in showing their work for free on this website or arranging group
exhibitions and events etc.
Whatever the style or
subject of your art, we would love to hear from you.
As afore
mentioned, selected artists are not charged any fees for having
their work loaded onto this website into their own personal gallery.
They are not obligated to sell any of the work shown with us and can
simply use it as a gallery/portfolio. However, in the event of an
agreed sale organised through Merelle Gallery, a small 10%
commission will be charged to the artist. This is much lower than
other galleries who charge 30%, 50% or even 100% mark ups on the
original price.
In
providing this generous service our aim is to strengthen the bonds
between the art community within our local area and provide a strong
platform for our artists. By charging such a low commission fee we
also keep the price of our art low, making it more affordable to a
wider range of people and increasing their interest in original Arts
and Crafts.
